Lila and Pavlos, tore up our university degrees and abandoned the big city\u2019s lifestyle. \u00a0We left Athens a few years ago, choosing Kato Pedina (or Soudena as it was the village\u2019s name in the past) to be our new home.<\/p>\n
The plan was right from the beginning to create a \u201cmodern\u201d guesthouse.<\/p>\n
Thus, we created Anemi (Spinning Wheel in english) hoping to become something more than a guesthouse. A place where interesting people will share interesting ideas!<\/p>\n
We renovated an old cottage to create the place of our dreams and now we are very proud and happy to share it with you!<\/p>\n
Anemi consists of 7 guest rooms, the \u201cmagirio\u201d (the old house\u2019s kitchen room) and the farm and it overlooks the highlands of Zagori.<\/p>\n
It is a village house!<\/p>\n
On the ground floor, where the family\u2019s farm animals were kept in the past, there are two guest rooms: “Karina” (Keel, a reference to our beloved sea!) and the stone room called “Roka” (Distaff), both built on a rock.<\/p>\n
On the first floor we find our \u201cbaby\u201d room \u201cAnemidi\u201d (Little Spinning Wheel), \u201cRodani\u201d (another word for the Spinning Wheel) and \u201cTylichtra\u201d (\u00a0 ). All three rooms are painted with similar colors as they were before, the old house\u2019s colors. The green, the blue and the yellow room.<\/p>\n
\u201cAdrachti\u201d (Spindle) and \u201cSaita\u201d (Shuttle) rooms are on the second floor, having their own private veranda. Adrachti\u2019s colors are a tribute to Zagori\u2019s autumn colors that we love! We leave the internal shutters (the \u201ckanatia\u201d as called in the local dialect) of Saita\u2019s eight windows open to allow the light to fill the room.<\/p>\n
Each one of Anemi\u2019s rooms is not only comfortable but also unique, turning your stay in Zagori (also known as Zagorohoria) to a fairytale experience!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
